Exclusive Interview with Bryony Page
It’s our first Education Show this week and we can’t wait to see teachers and educators! As we’re making our debut, we thought appropriate that we should ‘jump’ into the limelight, celebrating the best of what Classroom Capers and School Stamps has to offer.Alongside our show exclusive deals and personalised stamp creation, we’ll be joined by an absolute star of her sport. She’d definitely be getting a well done for her achievements over the last couple of years!
Joining us on Stand K01 on Saturday 17th March is Bryony Page, Britain’s first (and only!) Olympic trampolining medallist. The rising star (or should that be ‘bouncing star’) of Team GB’s trampolining scooped silver in 2016 and will be bringing her coveted medal to the stand.
Bryony will be helping us launch our competition, where your school could be winning a trampoline, courtesy of Powerhouse Fitness, and a visit from the Olympic star!
We asked Bryony a few quick questions about education and her sport in between training sessions!
What motivates you?
Enjoyment, I love my sport and I’m very lucky to be able to do it. I’ve been training for a long time and trampolining puts a smile on my face every day! I am motivated to succeed too.
How about when things get tough?
I love a challenge and getting out of those tough situation through practice, training and planning is fantastic. Also, I love to remember that trampolining is everything I’ve always wanted to do!
What is your favourite thing about trampolining?
It feels like your flying and is a real out-of-body experience. Plus I’m competitive and I love to push myself to the absolute maximum. Winning silver at the Olympics was amazing and a real culmination of a long hour of training and a lot of hard work!
How has feedback effected your performance?
It really helps! It’s great to speak to someone who is experienced and at the top of your discipline, be that your trainer, your coach or your teacher. They get a different perspective to you, because they’re watching from the outside. It really helps you grow and progress as an athlete, but also in everyday life too.
Are you looking forward to the Education Show?
Definitely! :0)
You can see Bryony, ask her questions and take a look at her Olympic Silver Medal on Saturday 17 th March 2018 at The Education Show with Classroom Capers.
